Every day, at schools across Vietnam, hundreds of incidents of injury can happen to students: slipping in the restroom, burns while eating at the canteen, collisions on the playground, choking on foreign objects during playing around in classroom, or more serious incidents such as accidents during physical activities or drowning in field trips. These incidents not only impact students\u2019 physical and mental well-being, but also cause deep concern for parents and place immense pressure on teachers and schools.<\/p>\n\n\n

In fact, most incidents are entirely PREVENTABLE <\/strong>\u2013 if hazards are identified in time and addressed early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s why Survival Skills Vietnam (SSVN) developed the SAFER program \u2013 a school injury prevention course<\/a><\/strong> specifically designed for teachers, caregivers, and school administrators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is SAFER?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SAFER <\/strong>is SSVN\u2019s exclusive program designed to help teachers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2705 Identify potential hazards that could cause accidents in the school environment
\u2705 Assess risk levels using international methods
\u2705 Develop appropriate, practical, and effective control measures
\u2705 Apply the continuous improvement process (Plan \u2013 Do \u2013 Check \u2013 Act)
\u2705 Promote a culture of \u201cproactive safety\u201d within the school community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike basic first aid courses that teach you how to respond after an accident occurs, SAFER takes a step further \u2013 teaching you how to PREVENT accidents from happening in the first place.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
