Nghe An has one of the highest rates of children who die from drowning in Vietnam. The cause of these unfortunate accidents is that people, especially children, are not equipped with necessary survival (first aid) skills.
Therefore, Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam (MMV) cooporated with Survival Skill Vietnam – an organization specializing in training survival skills, organized a first aid training workshop for students and teachers of Bao Thanh Primary School, Nghe An province. This training aims to enhance the participants’ awareness of basic first aid knowledge, such as educating students on how to handle situations when they see their friends drowning, how to react when someone experiences an electric shock, and so on. It also covers other essential and practical first aid skills that are easy to understand and apply. MMV hopes that after the workshop, the participants can protect themselves and can help others to avoid unexpected accidents. This event is also in the series of social responsibility activities of MMV with the goal of contributing to the development of the community through activities suitable to local needs and conveying the message “Step to the Future”.
Ms. Le Thi Thuy, Principal of Bao Thanh Primary School, shared: “The training session was very helpful for our students and teachers to prevent and reduce the risk of injury. After this training, we will integrate first aid practice with other extracurricular activities. On behalf of the school, I would like to thank Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam and Kim Lien Vinh Distributor for bringing a practical, meaningful training program and supporting medical equipment to the school.”
About 120 students and teachers of Bao Thanh Primary School participating in the First Aid Training Workshop were very excited and focused on the knowledge imparted. Despite their young age, the students surprised the lecturers and organizers with their quick learning ability when they put into practice what they had just learned.
MMV also gave away 120 first aid kits to all participants so that they can practice at home and use when needed. This first aid kit includes 55 basic first-aid tools designed and approved by doctors, meeting the standards of Class A medical equipment issued by the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City. Also on this occasion, Kim Lien Vinh Distributor donated a set of necessary medical equipment to the school. This support is a testament to the companionship of MMV and the distributors, not only in business activities but also in social responsibility activities in Vietnam.
