SSVN and Surf Life Saving Services (SLSS) have signed a cooperation agreement in terms of training experts, professional advisors and rescue equipment for coastal provinces with a value of up to billions of VND to support water rescue training in Vietnam. SSVN and SLSS have cooperated to reduce drowning since 2019 and this agreement marks a new milestone.

Surf Life Saving Australia is Australia’s largest water rescue organization with over 100 years of experience and presence in many countries. This cooperation will complement SSVN’s training programs and contribute to the mission of reducing preventable casualties in Vietnam that SSVN has been pursuing for years.

In addition, this agreement also includes:

  • SSVN’s first aid certification and curriculum are recognized in Australia by SLSS.
  • SLSS will send experts to improve SSVN’s first aid and water rescue training capacity.
  • SSVN is the exclusive representative providing SLSS water rescue courses in Vietnam such as beach safety, swimming pool safety.
