Recently, Survival Skills Việt Nam (SSVN) was featured on Nhan dan television channel: Good people – Good deeds. This is a great opportunity for more people to gain a deeper understanding of SSVN’s continuous efforts in equipping the community with essential first aid skills. With a strong vision and dedication, SSVN has organized free training sessions on emergency escape techniques, fire prevention, and first aid. These classes not only enhance people’s ability to prevent dangers but also help minimize casualties in emergency situations.

First aid skills are not just theoretical but highly practical. Nghia, one of the participants in SSVN’s free survival skills training course, directly applied what he had learned when faced with a major traffic accident. While many bystanders believed the two victims had not survived, he bravely and decisively performed the necessary first aid procedures. His actions not only saved their lives but also highlighted the critical importance of mastering first aid skills in emergency situations. Through this experience, Nghia realized that spreading knowledge about first aid and survival skills within the community is absolutely essential.

Similarly, Mr Nguyen Viet Tuan, a resident of District 3, also had a positive experience after attending the course. With the knowledge gained, he learned how to take better care of his own health and that of his family. Moreover, he improved his ability to handle injuries and provide first aid in emergency situations. Tuan shared that learning the step-by-step first aid procedures not only boosted his confidence but also gave him a greater sense of responsibility toward those around him. With a strong commitment to continuous learning, he plans to attend regular training sessions to reinforce his knowledge.
SSVN goes beyond individual training by also focusing on providing guidance for sport on injury prevention. The courses emphasize the importance of knowing how to administer first aid in the critical moments immediately following an accident. In particular, in cases of respiratory arrest or cardiac arrest, the first few minutes can be life-saving.
Over the past 10 years, the program has organized numerous training courses, attracting more than 150,000 participants. This is truly an impressive number, reflecting the community’s strong interest in this important issue.
SSVN’s training program content is regularly updated according to international standards and the guidelines of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training. This ensures that all Vietnamese citizens can easily access learning materials through website, mobile app and online classes. The goal is to enhance first aid skills not only for individuals but also for the entire community.
Even more interestingly, from the early days when classes had only one or two participants, the number of attendees has now grown to over 30 per session. This demonstrates the increasing demand and public interest in survival skills. In the future, Survival Skills Vietnam will continue expanding its free training programs, not only focusing on risk awareness in homes and schools but also emphasizing mental health care. These classes will help the community become more aware of potential risks and take proactive steps to protect their well-being, as well as that of their families and those around them.
