Director of SSVN becomes 1 in 5 Asian researchers of the Perth USAsia Centre. The program features a Non-Resident Fellow from five key countries and seeks to bring new and diverse perspectives on regional affairs into the Australian national debate.

Congratulations to Australian Alumni Ho Thai Binh from Survival Skills Vietnam-SSVN who has been selected as an Indo-Pacific fellow by Perth USAsia Centre. As a fellow, Binh will contribute expert analyses of social, political, economic and security developments to help strengthen the relationship between Australia, the Indo-Pacific and the United States.

Binh is a social entrepreneur working in public health in Vietnam. In 2018, he founded Survival Skills Vietnam with the mission to reduce preventable deaths and injuries in Vietnam via first aid education to international standards. At the same time, he founded SiGen which develops and commercialises new rainfall catch basin technologies in solving mosquito-borne diseases and odour pollution problems in urban environments.

With the experience of Australia – Vietnam cooperation from the involvement of SSVN and the understanding of his hometown Ba Ria – Vung Tau through the Indo-Pacific Fellows, Mr. Ho Thai Binh will contribute to the promotion of cooperation between the state of Western Australia and Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.
